Hi all

I am about to get 3 31.5" 1440p monitors. I have looked on the forums but couldn't find anything on the angle of the side monitors to the centre one. I am looking at 45 degree angle between the side monitors and the centre one, for a total of 90 degrees. Is this possible?

Whatever feels best, just move them around a bit when they arrive

(45 dgs seem a bit mucho btw.)

The side screens are actually a flawed repair for the somewhat 'peripheral' cutoff, should and are not your main focus (literally),

do sometimes comes in handy when looking 'over the shoulder', but the awareness of something moving in the corners of your eyes is what enhances immersion through artificial depth perception of what really shows on the main monitor ..

In all honesty, 3 monitors side-by-side is rather useless for a flight sim.

Because of how airplanes fly you're better off with one central, main screen, and another large screen rotated 90 degrees and placed ABOVE your head, with the two edges meeting, so that way you can look up and see into your lift vector (i.e. the direction you intend to turn in.)

Never done it, but I might try one day, you know--when DCS is finally finished enough and playable enough to be worth the trouble :)

That's why I run 4 screens in T

(5 with 1 on top would be better)

Screen underneath to see the instruments

With TrackIR one has 2x height for the vertical gun fight chase

Of course all this gets negated with VR

(the nxt generation I'm waiting for, the present generation might by tiresome to the eyes, for some)

Before I got VR I used 3 monitors angled so looking at left or right monitor would be fluid to the middle monitor which would be what I'd expect to see in the real world.

I have triple monitors, they're a hair big for the mount they're on, but I estimate they're around 15' each. I'm actually planning on selling them and going to a single ultrawide because the 5.4 to 1 ratio or whatever it is causes a fair amount of distortion on the side monitors any way you want to work it.

I tried running as three cameras, but they're not angled enough, so it gave the effect of things coming toward me then flowing to the sides instead of past me and it made sick, especially when flying low.
