F-18's MFD font on VR

The new F-18 is awesome but, the text on the MFDs is just horrible, it is just impossible to read anything on VR even using zoom, is it any possibility to change this font?

I understand that this is the font/size used on the original bird and it is could for immersion but there are not immersion if you can not read the MFDs.

This is actually something I was expecting to be a problem. However, for me, I am surprised that it isn't.

 

I can certainly read it when zoomed, and can make it out a lot better than I was expecting when not.

 

I wonder if you might have an issue.

 

What's your system, settings (PD)?

 

 

I'm afraid I have no idea if the font can be changed. I suspect not.

Agree with the op ... especially on the lower MFD, virtually impossible to read in VR unless you zoom right in. The background seems very bright and the text green and very blocky ... if you try and lean forward you end up with you head between your knees :(

 

On the Rift using 4x MSAA and default PD.

You could also try the graphics setting I'm using, described below, to see if it's any clearer with those.

BTW, agree on the MPCD, light map colours make it very difficult. But I can easily read when zoomed in.

I am using a Samsung Odyssey with a Pixel density of 1.3. In comparison, the Harrier works perfectly and I don't need to zoom in most of the time.

Lowering the DDI's brightness helps a lot I think. Though not all pages work, for example the HSI, only some elements react to the brightness adjust, and the center MPCD brightness doesnt work at all.

The space between letters is too small plus the use of pixel density is a very bad combination.
