MDI Exports for FA-18 not working

Trying to use my standard working settings for export of MFCDs to separate monitors with the FA-18 causes the MDI displays to not display at all - neither in the cockpit nor on the separate monitors. With A-10C this still works 100% after the update.

 

I tried various hacks of the lua scripts using older methods but the best I could get was MDI content being repeated in the main display window. But, this only happened if the Monitor setup file has the MFCD Export lines removed completely... strange.... and not really a usable export :(

 

 

Anyone have any ideas or might this be a bug?

I have the same issue.

Successfully exported AMPCD and IFEI, but not the MDIs.

 

According to some other init.luas I assume that

• ControlsIndicator
  
• RWR
  
• UFC
  

can be exported as well.

 

But I did not have success on this using the 'normal' way...

dofile(LockOn_Options.common_script_path.."ViewportHandling.lua")
try_find_assigned_viewport("RWR")

...and then defining 'RWR' screen in the monitor-file.

 

So, I too judge this as a bug.

Exported MDIs in FA-18, have very thick and fuzzy lines. This has only appeared since display export became supported.

 

Reported in several other topics in the Forum.

Viewport-Exports are generally working and the title here is now misleading.

RightStuff, I am glad that your exported MDIs are working well. However, mine are not, and neither are those of many other users, if continuing reports are to be believed.

flyco, there exists (guessed) a half dozen threads on this matter.

Take a look over at „The Input Output“ subforum.

 

As said: The title here is misleading. Though closing would be appropriate and just a small cleanup.

 

Edit:

Look for User „Cpt Zeen“. He made several Helios-Profiles.

Included in his archives is a monitorfile and the other init.luas for the viewports. If you still have problems implementing them, I offer you a helping hand. Greetings to the Big Apple. :)
