Shahdoh Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 I have had this happen to me last couple times updating OB (erroring out on different files each time and not the same as yours). I just cancelled out, deleted the files manually and reran the updater and it would go through fine. I would then run a repair afterwards just to make sure everything was back in order.
Adixylian Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 (edited) Same thing here. I'm getting error Access denied (5) for DCS_updater.exe Same thing happened with the last update for the open beta. I had to reinstall the whole game I restarted my PC several times, always run it as administrator and still the same thing persists... Edit: I deleted my DCS_updater.exe, downloaded the one from here http://updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ , repaired the DCS and the update now works Edited June 6, 2018 by Adixylian [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
HiJack Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Same thing here on two servers. Just will not update even when forced. Only way I got it running was to rename the autoupdate.cfg but this seems to break some other stuff.
HiJack Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 It may be a "security" issue on the servers if they run Windows server 2012 R2 and have updated between patches. Disable UAC.
