sangfhas Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Whenever I took f-18 of carrier then landing on the deck, when I replay the track that I saved at final approach f-18 went wrong track and crash in the sea.In the other hand, if I took of from airfield then landing on the carrier it's ok.
Emmy Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Tracks are often hit and miss. Just the nature of the beast I'm afraid... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://www.476vfightergroup.com/content.php High Quality Aviation Photography For Personal Enjoyment And Editorial Use. www.crosswindimages.com
uunilenkki Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 Took off and landed on carrier, same thing, landed on sea when watched the track. Interesting was that the wingmen AI hornets crashed themselves on deck after I landed.
bradleyjs Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 Yeah same behavior for me too. I was practice bolters and the .trk dropped me in the drink every time. It’s been a DCS issue for years. ouPhrontis Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 Tracks are a replay of pilot inputs and so on, so any error in reproducing those - no matter how small - will gradually lead to them becoming more and more noticeable the longer the track. These might be compounded by accelerating time, especially if the CPU/GFX-card struggle. Nealius Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 My tracks have been okay so far. Only caveats are I'm flying alone and the flights are typically 45-60 minutes, max.
Nealius Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 For me it depends on module. Viggen and Spitfire are always broken, every time. Huey, Hip, Mirage, Harrier, and Hornet all work fine for me, at least on short missions without any real action.
bradleyjs Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 I just did a 10 min test flight (with 5 mins just sitting on deck testing avioonics) and it misses the carrier. I’m assuming that it’s because the carrier is moving and not stationary which is compounding the problem. I’ve got no gripes there are far more things that need attention that this issue. Nealius Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 I did some "testing" and it seems that if you taxi on the carrier at all it will screw things up. I tried flying from Batumi 40nm to the carrier, doing 3 touch-and-go's then a trap. Taxi to Cat #2, launch, circle around for a final trap. On the replay everything was flawless until the last trap, where my jet was misaligned with the carrier a couple hundred feet to the left, smashing into parked jets. I've also noticed that purely land-based tracks function flawlessly. It seems to get an accurate replay you mustn't let your jet come to a stop on the carrier.
