I am wondering and it would be helpful to know if there is particular spot on the deck I should point my on-speed velocity vector to catch number 3 wire.

I see the 4 wires as I approach the deck and do not know the optimium spot to point the V/vector

Ignore the placement of the V/vector and focus on the ball. The only time I look at the VV is to cross check with the AoA indexer to make sure I'm on speed.

The ball and VVI give you complementary information. Get the ball centered or a hair on the high side.

If on the ball, aim your VVI wing at the cat #2 blast deflector.

If you're low, aim at the crotch or a hair above.

If you're high, aim a few "millimeters" below cat #2 blast deflector.

Once on the ball, do not cut your throttle (settle) at the end. Just fly through the carrier; the deck will stop you. :)
