Spetz Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 Seems I got an update to the Rift last night where I can select Rift 2.0 beta etc.. But OH now opens up when ever I start DCS. Before I had OH set to administrator which prevented it from opening, now it opens no matter what, forcing me to close it manually, but as long as DCS is running, OH keeps reopening.. Getting annoying.. Anyone else have this issue?
TheNanny Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 OH needed to be open to run VR games for me and others for quite a while now. Otherwise the headset stays dark. FWIW, in X-Plane 11 people (including myself) are seeing improved frame rates with the new version, even with the software open. I can't say how the difference is in DCS, I only restarted DCSing after that patch - but it runs just fine for me.
Spetz Posted July 2, 2018 Author Posted July 2, 2018 I never needed it opened before for DCS so surprised it just started last night. I'll keep messing with it and see what happens..
HawkeyeHHDF Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 I can't find away around it looked for awhile but as soon as you update to beta it has to be running Hawkeye VF-213 CO VCVW-11 http://www.vcvw-11.com Heatblur F-14 SME
dburne Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 Yep unfortunately Oculus has made it so Home will always open from what I understand. I will say though back when it did not have to be, I tested both with and without Home running while flying and could not see a perceivable difference in performance for myself. RogueSqdn Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 If the system can’t find the file for Oculus Home, it can’t launch it. Rift will still work in DCS.
