Vannipo Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 (edited) Hello ED-Team! I fly in VR. And, those who do it like me, know about the problem of eye pain, if trying to read small grafix and letters. So, if I am handling with DCS, I start DCS without VR, do all stuff I need to do on screen, then close DCS and open it back again in VR-Mode (with params in the shortcut) and load the mission and start flying. That takes much time. Closing and reopening again in VR. Again and again. Just to avoid watching the mission editor too long in VR. It would be nice, if you could do all the menue stuff on Screen and just put ur HMD on, if you start flying. I don't understand, why U don't do it like many other sims: Seperate the flying and the menue GUI in two different .exe-Files. Or make it possible to see the "menue" complete and flat on screen like in other titles. Right now, I have a squeezed picture in the middle of my screen. Or just put the mission editor in an extra .exe. Editing and saving there, loading the mission in DCS or just klick in the ME on the "Fly Mission" button and make DCS in the background loading that mission and start flying. That would save us VR-Polits much well-eye-feeling-capacity. Regards! Pierre Edited July 5, 2018 by Vannipo
TAW_Impalor Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 +1. I almost exclusively fly campaigns and have to skim-read all the fun text they have! 12900KF@5.4, 32GB DDR4@4000cl14g1, 4090, M.2, W10 Pro, Warthog HOTAS, ButtKicker, Reverb G2/OpenXR
GCBraun Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 I have already suggested this. Being able to switch from VR to 2D on the fly would be great. All other sims already allow it!
