FOXFIRE TWOONE Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 I tried auto bombing using coord as waypoint tgt point. All hud symbology showed correctly but bomb release and impact point was 6.5 miles beyond tgt point. This was in beta caucasus map. I entered coord from f10 map, do they need to be round off when entering into ufc, or just as they read. D/M/S is what you are entering to UFC from D/decimal/minute so you need to convert. read this: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=215635

Yoda967 Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 If you're taking lat/long info off the F10 map, you're not getting anything close to targeting-quality position information. One second of latitude is about 100 feet, and because of the polar convergence of the lines of longitude, the distance between seconds in longitude varies quite a bit. We need tenths of seconds (preferably hundredths) to really provide targeting-quality coordinates for accurate bombing. The best way to use auto bombing mode right now is for cueing...use the target symbol to get your eyes in the vicinity of the target, then switch to CCIP. FOXFIRE TWOONE Posted August 3, 2018 Author Posted August 3, 2018 I flew the mission several time again placing my mouse in different spots on rwy, then rounding off coord and all misses. Then use coord without rounding off and all bombs landing where they should in three different runs. I am now thinking I may have entered a wrong number at time of first post.
