1 - If you release the parking brake while alignment is in GND mode, it will stop.

 

2- sometimes, when using the radar on LDDI, will apear a big X in the middle of it, so you need to move the radar screen to the RDDI

 

3 - after firing a missile, the contact gets unlocked and disappear from your hud.

 

4 - if you lock a contact on radar using a 4B or 6B scan mode, and looses it, the scan mode changes to 2 Bars and stay on it.

As far as your list goes, I think No.1 is not a bug. You are supposed to stay put till the alignment process is completed.

Marks your parking spot as waypoint 0 on the hsi. Attempt to move while alignment is going on messes up the process.

Eagle is correct the INS alignment is directly linked to the parking brake. Go read your NATOPS.

Thats because the INS is dependant on the parking brake to aling, the chocks on the other hand has nothing to do with it

Parking brake here is a core function of logic flow in systems process

 

 

Like the INS or Mission computer or whatever is controlling the process would ask,

 

Is parking brake set?

If yes: continue alignment

If no : stop alignment

 

Since the choke is not a parameter in this logic flow, it would not matter if choke is holding the plane in place or not.

 

Parking brake needs be set to satisfy conditions to go on with alignment process.

 

 

Going to your No. 2 bug, I have equally noticed when I switch radar to the left DDI, a big breaking X flashes. But it did seem to be a one off thing but I will check some more. Cannot fathom why this is though.
