Thanks. Would be worth updating the download at https://virpil-controls.eu/ - it's got older version.

Hi MDEE,

Actually, .. the Software/Firmware at .. https://virpil-controls.eu/downloads/software.html .. is the latest version. i.e. 20180828

The date on that page says it was ... Updated 04/09/2108, .. which is the 4th of September, .. not .. 9th of April .. :)

I'm guessing you might be from the US, .. where your dates are backwards .. :)

Cheers

Tom

Look at the date of my original post - it's water under the bridge. I currently do not live in the US.

Sorry at work you select joystick then import profile down bottom left then you can update the firmware

NO, .. you need to update the Firmware first, .. THEN Import a Profile.

Solved. Here's what seemed to work -

I could load the device profile ("Step 1: Load Device Profile") For the throttle, which allowed me to update the firmware, however I still couldn't load the stick, it kept saying "version not supported". When I tried to "Import Profile from file" (bottom left), it came up with a PCB error, so I shut down the Config tool and did this:

1 - Open config tool

2 - Select "Import profile from file" (bottom left)

3 - Select the profile that matches configuration (for me "VPC MT50 + MT50 [PCBv06].cnfv06")

4 - "Step 1: Load Device Profile" - I didn't get a PCB error this time - and it says the correct device in the top right of the window.

5 - Firmware update

Then follow the usual process to calibrate. I had a "not synced" message in the top left until I completed the calibration process (not sure why).

CAN’T update the firmware because it does not recognize the devise so you HAVE to import the correct profile first.

Had to update the firmware first when I had a similar issue. No amount of profile importing solved it until I did a firmware update first.

Going from the old software to the new software my stick was not recognized the firmware was greyed out and unselectable

So you had to import the new profile first for it to be recognized
