I own a T-50 base (with a Warthog stick). I used to calibrate it with the default windows game controllers option. This worked mostly fine, but I wanted to test the software from Virpils page. I download and initiate the installer that says that I have the wrong version and there cannot do squat in that software.

Going back to 'game controllers' the T-50 is still listed, but when I press it I get "Your controllers is not connected correctly. Please verify that it is plugged into your computer'.

It is plugged in.

I have re-plugged it in 3 times, and now I have a defunct joystick..

First - never use Windows to calibrate, it will only cause problems!

If the VPC software says that you have an old version, you simply need to update the firmware to the latest version included in the VPC Software archive.

If you can open a ticket by emailing support@virpil.com I'll be able to help you more easily to get this resolve

Thanks! I have submitted a ticket. I watched the clip above, but things did not look the same/worked the same way. Thanks for the quick reply Cyph3r. Hoping to sort it when the ticket gets through:)

There has been a development here.

I managed to get the firmware sorted.

But when I log in it says: "Not sync"

Then when I load my profile (VPC Mt50 + TMW) is says SYNCED (At the button turn green)

However, when I press "Save device profile" or try to calibrate and save, it is once again not synced.

I have updated my ticket with this information as well.

The semi good news is that the controllers is now visible and usable under "Game controllers", but I want to get it working proper with the software still.

Just to clarify for everyone "NOT SYNC" is not an error. Here's an excerpt from our new software manual (will be out next week) regarding the device statuses:

SYNC

This shows that the VPC Device is loaded, and does not have any unsaved changes.

NOT SYNC

While not indicating an error - this status is given when the VPC Device has not been loaded using the “STEP 1. Load Device Profile” button, or if the user has made changes in the VPC Software that has not been saved to the VPC Device.

N/A

This shows that no VPC Device is available.

"Not Sync" is probably not a great choice of nomenclature, it certainly gives the connotation that something is wrong.

However once manual is out explain these steps that should help.

Looking forward to seeing the new manual.

What Zionid experienced was the same I had. Cyph3r checked my system and all was OK. It appears that when you save the device profile it unloads from the configurator. Hence the "Not Sync" appearing.
