Why are people so eager to get into a departed flight

has less to do with actual intellectual curiosity and more to do with building connections with something familiar

if jetstream never aired falling leaf threads would be nonexistant

its a lot like tourists that have to visit some famous tourist trap landmark they heard about just for that been-there factor

I think it's enough to assume that falling leaf is NOT modelled.

well maybe you're doing it wrong

here is for example a sustained inverted falling leaf:

Instead of posting a screenshot from TacView, make a video of this replay. I think most people think that falling leaf is a flat spin but it's not what OP and some other guys are looking for...

i just wanted to prove to you it's aerodynamically possible in dcs, that its not like ed "simply neglected to code it"

its honestly demonstrating falling leaf ultimately isnt even relevant to the thread, because i had to force it by pulling out the fcs

-- because later version fcs as found in our hornet prevents falling leaf departures, period, end of story

now op, put that copy of jetstream in the trash and start reading natops instead

Flat spin is modelled as are other departure types.

Guys talking about AOA and high values of this feature....i am having difficulties putting our DCS Hornet into a High alpha condition.

Before the later updates you just power back, slow down, and keep the altitude ...so that the AOA increased to 30-35°. I tried with the latest release of the stable but i couldnt get beyond 20ish degrees.... Did the FM change lately .?
