WOPR Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Volume on the RWR is either on or off, no in between. The impact is that it is hard to radio calls clearly over the RWR sounds (i.e. on a multiplayer server). Please fix quickly.
Dangermouseb51 Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Agree it’s terrible ... Dangermouse [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

WOPR Posted September 2, 2018 Author Posted September 2, 2018 Tune down in cockpit sound while they fix it.Can't detune sounds. I'll try turning down the cockpit sound though, I may still have trouble hearing radio calls. ;). Seriously, I will give a try. BTW actual warning sounds is a huge step up from nothing. The effort is appreciated. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

The ones in the video, which will be released on next openbeta update, are new and are similar to the ones used by the real aircraft. Unfortunately, I misreported, unbeknown to me, 2.5.3.21153 Open Beta hotfix 2 (released this morning) changed the AV-8B RWR audio tones, they are now as heard in the August Update video :music_whistling:. The RWR logic also changed with many friendly radars AE, 49, UK, etc. again classed in the critical/lethal bands, rather than in the non-lethal/friendly outer band (as in hotfix 1). As others have reported, it'll be important to reduce the number of repeat 'new contact' warnings and allow some volume adjustment but I'm sure it's WIP. i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440

Unfortunately the AV-8B's ALR-67 cannot identify friendly contacts, so now all contacts are considered threats and thus subject to reclassification.
