BS is my pc going to cope?

i noticed this for the specs for BlackShark:

System requirements:

Minimum: Pentium III 800 MHz or AMD equivalent; RAM 256 MB; 16x CD/DVD ROM drive; 2.5 GB free HDD space; video card with 64 MB RAM and full DX 8.1 support; keyboard; mouse; Windows 2000/XP.

Recommended: Pentium IV 2 GHz or AMD equivalent; RAM 1 GB; 16x CD/DVD ROM drive; 2.5 GB of free HDD space; video card with 256 MB RAM and full DX 8.1 support; keyboard; mouse; 4+ axis joystick; Windows 2000/XP operational system.

 

 

 

 

now i have been using pcs for gameing for years and what that means is that with very basic setting it will just run on the minimum and wot look to good.

witha med setting it will run on recommended.

 

 

 

so what that mean for me with my Amd 64 athlon(754)3000+ with 2gbram and nvidia 7600gs with 512 Vram it should run ok or will it?

 

please any beta testers inform what frame rates they are getting with there BS(Beta) on there systems.i am worried it will run like a slide show or worse like decathlon :joystick:

Yes, it should cope just fine, but it depends mostly from the resolution and settings you'll play on.

yes currently fly FC with 1280x1024 @ 32bit fps in 30s but fps drops to single figures if it is an intense all action scene.

have drop to 16bit to get it back into double figures. general like my current performance

I wouldn't worry about performance for the moment - leave it until a firm release date has been announced and everything's settled down.

 

 

As a rough guideline, if your PC runs FC fine, it should run BS fine.

If your PC struggles with FC, you might want to consider an upgrade.

 

If you ARE considering an upgrade especially for BS, then it makes sense to leave it until release . . . when previews will tell you what kind of rig you need, better hardware's available, and you've had more time to save.

From what I've heard .. the e6600 has no problems with Black Shark...

By the time it comes out current top of the range hardware will be entry level so even if you do have to upgrade it will be very inexpensive.

when Black Shark (LOBS) get release into public, You will know by that time.

 

keep in mind, we will NOT be able to answer any of LOBS's questions. so keep refrain by asking questions relate to it. you will never get an answer until it got released.

I know you guys say you can't answer specific questions about Black Shark, NDA rules and all that. But, could you mention the specs of the PCs that were used to create the videos on your website? Especially the video by Glowing AMRAAM titled Blackshark_promo1, that looks like it runs real sweet.

Same here. I will buy totally new PC when BS gets released or some high performance laptop. Otherwise I don't see a point.
