crazyeddie Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 (edited) Anybody got a decent set of blank (No colour patches or Insignia) B-17G skins, I cant open the PSB templates and I would like to try and create some skins for it. USAF Green or Gray - in DDS or BMP format, I don't mind. Edited September 14, 2018 by crazyeddie
crazyeddie Posted September 15, 2018 Author Posted September 15, 2018 Can't believe this wonderful old aircraft is being so neglected by the skinning community, apart from the few skins already done nobody else seems much interested in adding more. I appreciate the Template can only be used if you have a way to open and edit PSB files, and from what I can gather there might be a problem with that anyway, so that's going to restrict the possibilities a lot but you can still do stuff if you are creative. Anybody got anything in the pipeline ?
joey45 Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Will be going back to my RAF liveries either this week or next.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. CHSubZero Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 I should continue my work on this one: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3369868&postcount=6 After making the Swiss additions to it (this B-17G was forced landed and interned in Switzerland) I'll release a pack with the "Before-Switzerland" and "After-Switzerland" skin Aviation Livery - Explore Military Aircraft Liveries My Mods: DCS User Files

joey45 Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Doing it now for you. Had to take out the Normal and Spec layers out so they'll be seperate. crazyeddie Posted September 17, 2018 Author Posted September 17, 2018 Having real problems with these templates, nothing wrong with them I dont think but my software just isn't up to the job, its 12 year old PhotoImpact 10 and its really struggling to open these large files, most times I try to use them it shuts down with a Memory gap and there is no way I can increase that, its no longer supported. Its the software memory, not my machine, that has bucketloads of the stuff. I manage with 2048 x 2048 but anything larger and its a pain. I'm retired on a pension so I'm not about to lash out the monies required to buy something better, I can't justify it to myself or my bank account. Thanks to Joey45 and usctaylor for their help, I will keep going but its going to be a struggle.
crazyeddie Posted September 17, 2018 Author Posted September 17, 2018 I did have Gimp at one time, didnt like it much but its worth a try, will let you know.
