Super,

I know we hit some big bumps in the road but are you and the others still trying to work it out or is it a no go. Would appreciate any info. Cheers.

I guess he means the Walmis' F-15C model. If so let me tell you that is very little probable that this model receives any updates. Nonetheless some members are in works.

My rig specs:

yea im exploring all the options, and so far i think we run into a dead end unless someone tries my last suggestion in the previous thread about renaming the textures.

In the meantime, i have to look towards the future. I'm currently talking with Demitry at http://www.sayapin.ru/ and see if he would build some nice models for lock on. Based on what he says, he would make anything if we provide a layout. So we can set the rules like 50,000 polys, animation, lods. The only problem is that is going to cost money. So maybe in the near future we can set up a donation account from the lock on community to bring in new models such as the Su-33, F-15, and A-10. I chose these 3 since I've seen ED's new models for the rest of the aircraft, except these 3.

What range of "costing money"?

And 50 000 is a bit too much I think. 20 000? :D

polys that is...

I won´t give a cent for eye candy, I can live with those graphics for many years to come.

The only thing I would pay for are updated flight dynamics and enhanced avionics.

What's so bad about Walmis' model as is? Sure, it's not perfect, but it's a lot better than what we had before, and if I want 3 new models, then the F-15 wouldn't be one of them ;)

There is a large number of gamers that fly the U.S. aircraft in lockon and these people deserve at the very least very good 3d Models of the aircraft. They will still be present in BS. Hopefully with better dynamics. So for that reason alone I personally support anything that Super can arrange. Super and the guys that helped him, put a lot of time and effort into finding a way to finish the Walmis F15C. We knew in the begining that we would probably have to pay for the software, so paying to have someone produce what we want is just a different way of getting a better 3d Model and I agree with Supers choice of aircraft.Cheers.

Sorry, but what´s the problem with walmis f-15c model?? , I think it is fantastic, and it is THE ONLY new model that we have. The su-27 seems like it will not be completed (if strikemax has no time, no-one can take the relay?), and I remember that was an A-10 in the works or something:music_whistling: .........

Honestly, I think we wont have new models untill Bs is released.

You guys have misunderstood my post, i just mentioned the F-15 in there because the current one can't be updated anymore. Walmis F-15 is very good, but it still needs some work. If all the aircraft got hi-detailed model and the F-15 remained the same, it would cause more winning or whatever. So mind as well kill 2 birds with the same stone.

Got to agree with you there. I don't think you were misunderstood. Some people fly only the RU aircraft and think anything else is a waste of time. For those of us that like to fly the U.S. aircraft, this is of great interest to have a rendered proper 3d model at the least. You are on the right track my friend. If people that look at the Walmis f15 and can't see where it is not quite finished must be blind. Maybe a little eyecandy to some people but for those that fly it, it means a very good render of the aircraft. We may be lacking some dynamics and weapons problems but the least we can do is look right. Keep up the good work as there are a lot of us out here hoping you can find some way to finish what was started and if that means A10 and any other aircraft so be it. Only betters the Sim. cheers and Good Luck.
