I received my throttle, but I'm really struggling with the software and how to program the shift/mode dial.

In the section titled "Buttons as SHIFT mode:", could someone please explain the following drop down options on the first drop down:OFF, ON, SWT, RTR

As well as the second Drop down for : --,s1,s2,s3,s4,b01,b02...etc

Thank you!

Yeah I read your thread - it helped a bit. What blows my mind is if you tweak your config in the software it COMPLETELY wipes out all of your mappings in DCS. How ridiculous. I've spent 15 hours programming this thing.

It doesn't wipe all you have done, some actions in the Virpil software trigger a USB renumbering which means DCS sees your Stick as a new device. The old device configuration files are still there. You can reuse them by renaming the configuration files for the "old" T50 ID to the new T50 ID, and you're done. Make backup before renaming, an error (like renaming new to old instead of the opposite, which will effectively erase all your previous work.... ) can quickly be made.

Whisper of old OFP & C6 forums, now Kalbuth.

Specs : i7 6700K / MSI 1070 / 32G RAM / SSD / Rift S / Virpil MongooseT50 / Virpil T50 CM2 Throttle / MFG Crosswind.

All but Viggen, Yak52 & F16

I agree. With all the hours and thinking that goes into the mapping and memorization, muscle memory we put into this game you would be crazy to not take a full copy of the Configuration folder. Mine sits on my desktop and gets re saved by me manually any time I make changes. This way if it gets mutilated I just drop the entire folder in and its all there.

Get used to doing that

I just set mine as a dropbox sync folder. Not only you get a backup every time you change something, but also rollback to previous version.
