Ok, so my graphics card only has one hdmi port and I have my oculus plugged into that and my monitor plugged into my motherboard. When I start dcs the game opens as if its in vr but with a limited ampunt of the screen shown in the preview and I cant click anything. In my headset its perpetually waiting for dcs. Oculus home is working. Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure that the monitor needs to be also plugged into the same graphics card!

You could try a converter cable for you desk monitor.

Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment.

Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.

I dont have one... oculus home is working though which is confusing me? If that was the problem shouldn't no vr work? Ive also tried starting virtual desktop which works, unplugging the monitor and then starting dcs.

Maybe but there is another thread here and the guy had issues with VR using onboard graphics for monitor and a graphics card for VR.

I cant test as I don't have on board graphics support with my CPU.

What ports does your graphics card and monitor have?

Can you not attach your monitor to a different port on your graphics card?

my monitor has hdmi and vga, my graphics card has 3 display port and one hdmi so oculus has to have the one hdmi.

Use this adapter on one of the display ports on your video card and plug your monitor into it. Plug your Oculus into the HDMI port on that same video card. That should work. :D

So I've been waiting 4 months to play dcs in vr while ive been out working in the bush. Today was my one day to play before going back out for another two weeks and sadly I'm 4 hours away from an electronics store. Waiting on Amazon is also not an option. However I found a solution. I got virtual desktop to auto start and from there I can launch dcs from the rift with no monitor plugged in.
