Spitty Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 This might be a start. https://www.ebay.com/itm/F5E-F-AGGRESSOR-COCKPIT-instrument-panel-CDkit-/113256101280?oid=112628104548
Deadman Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 Well if I say SWAG people will get upset so I would call all of those fiction just an fyi https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Spitty Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 If you can get a good set of 3 view plans you can trace it in CAD then do a loft in 3D for a base to work your dimensions off.Yes Im wary of those sets and stuff for models.Best need look at real photos.
VZ_342 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 This might be a start. https://www.ebay.com/itm/F5E-F-AGGRESSOR-COCKPIT-instrument-panel-CDkit-/113256101280?oid=112628104548 I got a set from them for the SU-25, it’s “ok” as a representation of the cockpit but it’s not kosher with the DCS cockpit. Most of the panels (remember, SU-25) are in Russian, but there are panels and some switches in English. I printed them full-size on poster stock (about $75 for front and both sides, iirc) just to use them as decorations until I made the panels that I actually needed for the -25 (weapons, landing gear+ lights, etc). You could use them as decorative illustrations, but they’re not quite proper size...there are threads here that give dimensions for width, Dzus fasteners, etc.
Spitty Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 Being a NATO bird the instruments are a standard size.If you can find the manufacturer of the instruments they should have sizes posted somewhere online. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1946738/ Also try this https://designer.home.xs4all.nl/models/f5-72/f5-tiger-aircraft-man.htm
RightStuff Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 As it‘s all about a multiplier of 3/8“, this document will be handy to estimate the dimensions: https://mycockpit.org/tutorials/Panelbuildingfocussedondimensions.pdf
