I can replicate this every time.

Start with selecting an AIM-120. Then lock a target with HACQ. Switch to the AIM-9, and I can't get the seeker to slave to the radar lock.

Track attached. Thank you.

Same for me. First lock with HACQ or LACQ, the 9X seeker does not lock the target. If you fire the first missile it goes ballistic. The lock of the second 9X is buggy but does work. If you undesignate the target and lock it up again the problem is gone.

I've had mixed results with this. The Cage/Uncage button sometimes makes it work and lock, but the overall behavior is definitely inconsistent and buggy.

Me too. I thought I was doing something wrong and was seeking answers looking through tutorial videos but must be a bug.

I am more and more impressed with this plane as systems get added. The HACQ ability is amazing.

yep - same here

i'm just trying to get that cool helmet lock with the 9X - very difficult

the radar wants to stay locked - i'm clicking UNDESIGNATE and it won't, it stays locked

i even mapped "SIL" mode to my HOTAS to *force* breaking lock - it stays locked (symbology remains)

i've tried cycling through other weapons (A7.. A120.. back to 9X) - still won't get rid of radar symbology and give me my 9x seeker "point and shoot"

.

i just want my 9x man! : )

---edit---

just tried cycling through A-G mode and then back to A-A mode --- still tough to shake that A-A radar lock

noticed something though - WACQ and VACQ seems to give you your 9X seeker back

its just that in WACQ you tend to regain lock again - at least with VACQ you can steer that scan pattern away from a bandit and you're able to slew the 9x seeker with your helmet sight
