Frag Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 Hi guys, I read everywhere to use JSGME but I was never able to find a web page or an "official" location to download it. I find various shady file ranging from 2010 to 2014 on this and it feels like black magic. Briefly where is the official safe place to get this? Thanks!
Rudel_chw Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 There is no official place, since JSGME ceased its development in 2011 .. an example of a very useful software tool, that its programmer initially made for his own use in 2003 and on 2005 shared with the community of the submarine simulator "silent hunter", but grow tired of dealing with some toxic community members. He finally left this community on 2011, I wasnt there at the time, but on the words of a witness: "A bit of history. Mr Jones quit developing JSGME back in the nastier climate of Subsim past, where he was, as was the custom then, ripped to pieces by jealous and petty people. Many, many top modders quit during the same time period and I hope Subsim never again descends to the level of sometimes nastiness that prevailed in those days. So if anybody's wondering why RFB, TMO, GWX4, RSRDC and many other mods are no longer maintained, remember, sometimes it would momentarily make you feel better to be nasty but sometimes there is a permanent price to pay. And the whole community must pay that price. Appreciate your modders!" Wise words, that can be applied to DCS’ community as well.. Best regards PS: Look for OVGME, which is a more modern equivalent to JSGME, but developed by a member of this Community. For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

Yeah found some trace of it over google, but the "official" download pages are now returning a 404 error.
