WelshZeCorgi Posted December 2, 2018 Posted December 2, 2018 So the requirements on the site reads 16 GB ram recommended, 32 gb for asset heavy missions. So I upgraded to 32 gb, but forgot that WIN 7 home premium only supports 16 GB. I'm thinking about upgrading to windows 10, (not win 8 cause it won't support VR in future builds) but has anyone noticed a difference between 16gb and 32 gb? Does it really help out those frames in object heavy missions?
Mr_sukebe Posted December 2, 2018 Posted December 2, 2018 The key setting that I find influences ram is the "pre-load". Mine's at full at the moment and I'm using anywhere between 12 and 24GB of RAM, depending on the complexity and whether or not I'm online. Clearly, I could lower the setting, but that is likely to result in an increase in stutters whilst the game uploads files whilst in mission. So for me, I'm going to argue that upto 32GB does have a valid purpose. 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat

That is the clearest and most concise argument for ram i have read on these forums... 9700k @ stock , Aorus Pro Z390 wifi , 32gb 3200 mhz CL16 , 1tb EVO 970 , MSI RX 6800XT Gaming X TRIO , Seasonic Prime 850w Gold , Coolermaster H500m , Noctua NH-D15S , CH Pro throttle and T50CM2/WarBrD base on Foxxmounts , CH pedals , Reverb G2v2
