Can we revert the hi/lo setting back to how it used to work please, I really liked how the flaps up was hi gain and flaps down was low, worked well and saved me having to map another button on my HOTAS (I've run out of buttons!) - super thanks

PS: Love what you've done with the MiG29, considering its not a super high fidelity flight model it does feel bloody good to fly :pilotfly:

Are you implying there's some slack just because it's FC3? You know that it is professional flight model, right? It may not be perfect yet, but it certainly doesn't lack anything just because you can't click buttons in the cockpit.

Btw: I have LCtrl+joy_button2 for Lock so it's not convenient for me too :)

I think he’s saying that out of all the FC3 modules ED has made it feel most high fidelity

Afaik they did not made it toward any feeling. It's the Mig's flight chracteristics without FBW that make for that feel.

Well I think there is little more bells and whistles than say the F-15C Su-27/33. Like this completely releastic switching between hi/low nose wheel steering gain. I do think ED has gained some experience and applied it to this project. The MiG-29 I’ve heard is the highest polygon count plane in the game. Not to mention the R-77 PN update came just in time for this.

Obviously just my opinion I have no hard data, as you said the MiG-29 is just a more a raw plane to fly which may give the illusion of more realism. Either way I’m extremely happy with the way it is, the last open beta update was the first one since PFM release to not have a MiG-29 update, maybe it’s “finished” or “fully released?”

It's still 'Early access' and will be for a long time just like Su-33 still is.

29 may be not listed in the update log but it got some too, ie. misalligned button bug.

Just think about crosswind takeoffs and landings. NWS HI is good to use with a button. The button hold is what I not prefer. I like more switch mode keyboard shortcuts for NWS HI.

Except for Hornet, Hornets NWS HI is so buggy (rolling to opposite side), I must use as frequent push and release mode.

It’s the lock on button you need to press while flaps are up, you don’t have the lock on button mapped to your HOTAS or stick?

I wasn't aware of this, flaps up lock button pressed does the job nicely - thanks for letting me know :joystick:

Curious though, does anyone know if this is how it works IRL?

Only if you try drive it like a stock-car racer.

I've only ever had it do that when deliberately adding crazy rates of turn at speed to see if I could make it happen after someone (you ?) posted it as a bug. (& that's on the ground or on the carrier since the carrier deck slip was fixed)

Cheers.
