Better ATC

When I fly Falcon BMS I can't get over the fact that the dynamic campaing there is amazing, which is something DCS will probably never be able to make.

 

 

Even then the other thing I notice is that the ATC there is a LOT better, and that IS something that DCS could actually improve. They are giving you approach vectors, putting you into the pattern neatly, wind checks and QFE, departure/arrival runways if you ask them.

In DCS the ATC are all copy + paste, same instructions regardless of the situation or aircraft, no vectors, no wind checks, no 'check gear down' remainders, no runway assignments, no trafic warnings, no 'hold short' with incoming/departing trafic, nothing. It's a real bummer.

First we'll get better ATC around the carrier, and an LSO who will talk to us during final approach and grade us on our landings. Then that tech is going to be repurposed to vastly improve airfield communications. It's on the ED todo list, and part of the hornet package. So have patience padewan, good things come to those who are content with what they have.

Maybe they can put a Tower module into Combined Arms so some of the real controllers in the community can humble the folks constantly wanting “better ATC”.
