SharpeXB
16.7 million colors sounds like a lot but it actually isn’t. Hence the push towards a wider color gamut. What’s sad is that HDR is nearly universal now in UHDTVs and game consoles, Blu-ray Discs, video streaming etc. PC monitors and games are lagging behind. i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | 24GB GeForce RTX 4090 | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR

etherbattx
Does DCS World support 10-bit color? Depending on the step size, but short answer is yes. 8bit colour contains 256 colour in the three channels (r,g,b): 256x256x256=16.7million colours 10bit contains 1024: 1.07billion colours many, many, many software titles are able to output unbanded colors using 8 bit. including graphics and video production software. why do you think DCS needs 10 bit and new monitors to solve this? AJaromir
24-bit colours is not much. I remember my old CRT with 32-bit colours and even the resolution was worse, the colours were better. There were no signs of the colour banding.
