DUSTY Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Not a proper bug report yet but I'm having issues with the effectiveness of the Mk20 rockeyes in the F/A-18. Before anyone jumps on the new fuzing implementation - I have set both EFUZ and MFUZ correctly. :) Visually my weapon impacts look exactly like in Wags Fuzing video: Only problem is they barely damage even lightly armored or unarmored vehicles! Is anyone else experiencing the same? Is anyone else experiencing the same?I have had concern about mk20 rockeyes bomb effectiveness. I feel they are weak. I haven't tried the mk20 in the A-10C lately but I know they were way more powerful than the current mk20 bomb in the Hornet. How about playing with the burst height for the bomb to see if there is any change in damage inflicted by the bomb. diditopgun Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Yes Mk20/CBU-99 are weak from the beginning of the EA... Here is two tests of 4x CBU-99 on soft and light armored targets. Visually the effect area is wide and everything inside should be destroyed or heavily damaged. But the result is not as good as expected and it need 4 bombs, imagine with only one bomb... Currently Mk20/CBU-99 looks more like a make-up Mk-82... 4xCBU-99 over Ural-375: 4xCBU-99 over BTR-80: Track files attached.CBU-99 Ural-375.trkCBU-99 BTR-80.trk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel I7 8700K / RTX 3080 / 32Go DDR4 PC21300 G.Skill Ripjaws V / MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon / Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold - 1000W / Noctua NH-D14 / Acer XB270HUDbmiprz 27" G-synch 144Hz / SSD Samsung 860EVO 250Go + 1To / Cooler Master HAF X / Warthog+VPC WarBRD / Thrustmaster TPR / Track-IR v5 + Track Clip Pro / Windows 11 64bits.
