Assuming you are attacking with IRMV (AGM-65G), what you can do is position the TV pointer just ahead of the moving target, then uncage and press SSS-FWD to slave your IRMV's targeting to the TPD's aiming point. Then use TDS to slew the IRMV onto your moving target. Once the IRMV's cross hairs lock onto the target, they will stay on the target, even while it is moving, and as long as the target is in 'sight' of the IRMV, you can rifle at any time.

Can be done, but you have to be reaaaaaly steady in your flight ; the slightest jerk will make the 65G seeker go haywire !

 I don't think I've seen that happen, unless the target goes outside the IRMV's FOV -- I'm not exactly sure of how wide the IRMV's FOV is, but I generally don't go outside of it.

Why are you "jerking" around anyway?

Thanks guys! But i have had my hopes to use GBU-12 with TPOD from 27000 feets because there must be KUB STR 9S91 somethere below.
Just practice with the TPOD. You can move it around in area mode and track targets that way. It's tough, but possible.

It may have been a unfortunate choice of words (non-native english speaker here).

What I meant is : if you're in level flight or in a straight shallow dive it's easy ; if you start turning (i.e. if the picture in your MAV sensor changes) it becomes difficult because the MAV is not ground stabilized.

I did not think about it in this way! Thanks for tip!

There is no way to correctly follow a moving target with area track, you don’t know where the bomb is and when the impact will occur so a little late movement of the tpod will cause a miss, I had my hits to moving target with this approach, but most of the time I missed the target.
