So, how on earth does the DLC binding work? Jabbers has said that the default bindings for the TM Warthog are good enough that he hasn't changed them, and he tests the DLC in the startup video so it must function, but I just can't picture how the DLC would work on the controller. There aren't any scroll wheels on the throttle and the only axis that is spring-loaded to center (besides the joystick obviously) is the TDC nub. Where does the DLC go, and how does it work?

Maybe one of the hat switches, set to increase and decrease the setting with a centering binding?

I've been wondering about this one myself, but there's a question to be answered first. Is the DLC wheel even analog?

I don't know so far, based on what I've read. I don't even know if the wheel is actually an analog controller.

And if it is, it seems that Heatblur has given us a digital equivalent. So we can take an unused hat switch and program the up position to full up, and the down position to full down.

Based on what I've read in the manual so far, I think this should be enough. For the DLC function I'm pretty sure it's enough, and for the flap control function it has in another flight mode I don't know because I don't understand it enough yet.

I'd still like a clarification from Heatblur on what the original control was, because I'd be really interested to know if the original jet had a fairly unusual analog wheel on the flight stick. But for our purposes I do think that a simple hat switch or pair of on and off switches would be enough.

You're right, Victory. After doin' some digging I found this:

While it will ofc be most realistic to use an axis, most of us in the dev team currently use the CMS on the warthog stick and that works fine!

So... case closed.

I wonder what the default bindings for the warthog will look like, or if we'll get to see how the devs/testers have worked out to be the best bindings to make a warthog work like a tomcat. The weapon selector. for example... are they using tms and just push buttons instead of the slider?

Can i still bend this on an Axis? It will fitt perfectly on the Rudder-Axis on my T16000 Hotas.

So Please make that avaible as Axis too. Thanks. :)

Soooo Whats the CMS?

Counter-Measures-Switch, the little grey one you can hit with your right thumb on the Thrustmaster Warthog Joystick.

Hell yeah! Where did you find that?

it was posted on this forum a while back by one of the testers or devs. cant remember, i just remember saving it as this is the default mapping for the Warthog.

I made that and posted that on reddit when someone had asked.

There's no button for radio ?

not by default. I will be mapping the radios to the jester select hat next to the TDC stick.

Correct there is no radio button bound. For me, I've unbound the Jester menu coolie hat, so this leaves it completely open. I also moved my Jester menu button from the throttle to the stick's master mode control button.

that is a great idea!
