Hi

Fahrenheit007, there is no current beta testing on the v2, it's too early : We have still a lot to do on the "dev" side, and due to personnal reasons, it doesn't go that quick. "Lentement mais surement" (slowly but surely) is a french proverb well adapted at this time...

Anyway, don't hesitate to register on the AdA project web site & say hello to the admins / modders ;)

Any news on the Jaguar GR3?

Not at this time, le "A" isn't finished yet. I'm not sure the UK versions'll be included in AdA mod v2. Textures won't be an issue, but the 3D shape, payloads & (engine) performances are really different between French et British Jags...

We've chosen to replace the Su-25 (Vanilla) with the French Jaguar A but I'm not sure it's the best choice for the British ones...

Anyway, even if eventually it doesn't fit in the AdA mod, I guess we'll find a solution to release the model for British's fans

We'll come back with fresh news as soon as we can :)

Cheers

Can you go into detail? Is it an armament issue?

Yes & No.

It's more about engine power and avionics functionnalities.

For the weapons : they can be carried (MEinit) but perhaps not shooted (because of avionic lack).

As I'm not a Jag specialist, I may be wrong but it seems to me that british Jag are more powerful and better equipped than the french ones.

Therefore, as we choosed the Su-25 because of its "proximity" to the french Jag, I'm not sure it's OK to the british one.

But of course, modding LO is always a compromise so... why not ? ;)

Hello All

Some fresh news (06-25 and 07-09) about AdA Mod

Thanks to Az' for original french post here

Nothing revolutionist to be announced for this update (not yet…), not either new screenshots, but "just" small advance points :

- The SEM is in its hangar. There remain some blows of adjustable open-end wrench to be made above, then painting of course.

- Mirage IV is ready for its roll-out

- The Mirage F1 C & CR are good for the service. The CT is again in painting job

- The Mirage 2000 single-seater is currently used as test plan with the CEAM (Center d'Experimentation Aérienne by MajorBug) with of course BarbsMan as a large creative director. Some other news sooner.

- The Mirage 2000 two-seater awaits the results tests on his little brother single-seater to solidify his configuration. Barbs is creating the template from single-seater's template.

- The Jaguar is nearly finished (approximatively 90%) .... we were close to the end, and an error in the 3D and an idea for damage model improvement (enough fine, since on slot of Su-25) were found. Return in workshop, therefore, we hear some blows of hammer and remote insults, but not more news that.

- Airone and its Gadget .... a long love story :D modification of the mapping for an easier skinning, template improvement, pylons creation, nav lights, pictures based mapping for cockpit, Ada Mod special animations ... and a 100% real new skin, la "million d'heures", the "million hours"

for little story, the French alphajet celebrate this year its 1 million flight hours … "French Air Force had requested" (not exactly, but it's easier to explain :D) from the "Tators Fan Club " to create a special camo. And one aircraft had been painted and this camo is raised by the official gadget solodisplay pilots.

Airone will use this skin for the VFAT show (and he already used it during virtual presentation at the Meeting national de l'Air on the Dijon Air Base, in front of its true pilot, who has been charmed :))

And some "PAF" skin screens ;)

Hello all

some little news

(from Az' original thread here)

nothing special, it's holidays for everybody, sea, sun and girls :D

The AlphaJet

Airone recently carried out large projections in its project of cockpit. This is rather magic, when we knows the difficulty of the modding under LockOn, to see the result to which he arrived. Cheer! No screenshots for this plane, the superb video of Lothamroth will show you already so many things… If you did not see it yet, go quickly read the thread and download here. :D

The Mirage 2000 single-seat

The two-seaters are on standby for the end of realisation of single seat versions. On these last, the large work of 3D, animation and mapping finishes, under the keen clicks of Barbs. Just as the differentiation specifies versions C and -5F. In parallel, the templates take form thanks to Cpt Stark and Barbs - still him - for the weathering. The building site of config of the skins and positioning of carryings is in hand and goes well. And the great minds mug up thoroughly on the best way of managing the weapons to preserve a maximum of compatibility network while "up-ing" the possibilities and realism.

Some screens of the last version :

And we will close this post with the new Mirage 2000C, with differents A/A payload in "sunset dogfight" training :

Thanks to Az' for screens :)

That's all

it's time to go to work :) end of holidays :D

bye :)

this skin was already in the AdA v1 :)

so she will be in the v2 :)

and for SuperKungFu

there will be another special M2000 version to replace the old IA M2000

but i don't think it will be the same :)

Hello!

Firstly can I start by congratulating you on your hard work that has almost certainly paid divedends and was an extremely worthwile project. However I was so overjoyed by the fact that you would at some point create a flyable version of the greatest mud mover I've been lucky to spend almost my whole life with - the Jaguar, more precicesley the Jaguar T.2 two seater.

After being trained as a WSO or Weapons System Operator then know as a Navigator, I was assigned to 54 Sqn. uknowing what lay ahead little did i know it would be perhaps the greatest insight to aviation i could ever have recceived. After clocking up hours i found my forte to be that in 'recce' flying earning me the nickname 'Cheese'. So I thank you for restoring a 'Great' and giving it life in a flight simulator.

I, like many others hope that you go on to do a few tweaks to bring out the GR.3 variant. From scanning the other pages I have gathered you will be replacing it with one of the Sukhoi 25 variants. I know that the Jaguar is no Raptor but it still came with an operating HUD not availvale in the '25 variants or many other things. So i think that you could perhaps consider the A-10 as a possibility.

From my experience as a WSO the A-10 has a TV used to guide in it's AGM array, cosmetically similar to the LGB's we used and recconiassance pod we employed which i hope you will model? The A-10 also encorporates a similar ,again, cosmetically looking radar.

Finally, i hope after due consideration and alot of hard work this will prove to be a realistic and enjoyable Jaguar representation for us to drool over :D.

Regards,

Peter

First,

thanks for your post, experience feedback and cockpit pictures :)

yes, we planed to replace the Su25 by the Jaguar (and Alphajet)

simply because we first made french version of the jag ;)

and the french jaguar (and french alphajet) are not fitted with HUD :)

(and less powerfull and less equiped than the english GR.3 version :D)

so, for french jaguar, the Su25 is the better choice :)

but maybe "we" will make a GR.3 version of our Jag'

but I don't think it will be done for AdA v2

have a nice day/night :smilewink:

Come to think of it you're right, when i was sent on a training deployment to Oman i remember looking around the French offernings and the lack of hardware compared to the RAF variant. Sorry.

Regards,

Peter

Hi all

No rush, no pressure, the AdA team still works, but slowly those last months.

We don't know when the v2 can be released, not before 2009 that's for sure, the packaging didn't begin (meaning the v2 isn't bêta for the moment, still alpha/dev).

Anyway, there are some events we choose to show some of our work to the public :

- The Mirage 2000-5F in its interceptor / sky police role @ the 3rd "Mondial de la Simulation" at Le Bourget Airport in november

- The Mirage 2000B in an "Alpha Presentation" (solo display) during VFAT'08 last week-end

We certainly will... when it's ready :)

For now, it's a simple "demo" model :

- only one "test" skin

- animations to review

- adaptation to the chosen slot : the plane should be steady on the ground, and rotate smoothly when taking-off/landing (presently it's on the A-10 slot to make it flyable... just for the show ;))

- more versions to make

Cheers

That is soooo sweet, good work guys!! I ve been waiting a long time and will love the new realease when it is ready...thx a millionn and keep on workin !! hey ahhh coulld you do a "Air Canada" version!? or as an idea for all the international dudes multiple country skins?... like "Air Canada", American Airlines" "Air India" "British AirWays" etc. etc. ?

Awesome. cool, great work Dudes!!!!!

Well I honestly don't know which skins we'll include, nor how many there will be.

But anyone can create his own skin, and we can do as Yeniceri's team did for the A-10 : multiple slots by default, you'll just have to create/modify the skin files without replacing an original one.

(note that with "new" 3D models, you always can add more skins by editing the .skins associated file)

Cheers

and the MEinit :music_whistling:

it need to understand how MEinit and .skin file works together for the skins (CLISD, IDs etc etc) and you can do "what you want" ;)

I would like to thank all dev team's work (especially Barbsman) on this wonderfull 3D model

(Airone is one the creator of this 3D model, but he had been forget in the credits of this video, thanks to you "Maître 1 1" :D)

Audio Mix (used during VFAT) is from kerdougan (PSV pilot), thanks ;)

Author : MajorBug

Weight : 185Mo

Size : 1280*720

Duration : 11'12"

Enjoy :D

PS : VFAT logo does not appears in this video.
