Is this planned to include something like GPS jamming?

Or like weather influence on it, dop variance... Etc

I think GPS trouble can cause some interesting things in all our plane :D (errors on GPS guided bombs etc...)

This would be an awesome feature.

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

This would indeed be a really awesome feature, but I doubt we will get this. It would require aircraft like the A-10C or the F/A-18C to have their INS systems fully simulated (including things like drift), which isn't the case.

Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Agreed, maybe in few years, all the ECM things must be reworked cause they are all to simply modelised at the moment, but I'm sure that ED have some things in the pipe to improve jamming systems in the future :)

I'm not so sure about that...

Yup. And without detailed INS you get degraded bombing accuracy among a great many other things. Honestly it wouldn't really be that hard from a game standpoint. Currently you have perfect XYZ position data (because GPS is perfect ;)) All you'd have to do is have xyz' data of where the plane "thinks" it is for nav/bombing calcs. Modeling drift wouldn't be that hard. I'm pretty sure the Viggen already does this.

I'd like to see jamming and really EW in general improved. There is a lot of irony in playing a "modern" combat sim with no EW components. But it would also be the hardest thing to do right because most of that is classified.

This is probably the most accurate description of Jamming in DCS at the moment...

I was working on building a mission last night (deep strike at night/low weather) and thought it would be really fun to have the ability to make players fall back on INS nav — I’m not surprised others already thought of this.
