wilbur81 Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 (edited) Ditto. Hornet inadvertently rolling after today's update. Definitely wind related. If mission wind's are set to zero, no roll. Edited March 1, 2019 by wilbur81 i7 8700K @ Stock - Win10 64 - 32 RAM - RTX 3080 12gb OC - 55 inch 4k Display
Zeagle Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 Same here. They broke my hornet. Not a happy camper.
borba_eagle Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 I notice that when the wind is in my left, the roll go to the left. If in the right, the roll occur to the right...and if it's in front or rear, I don't got roll. So, it's what happen in real life! You need to compensate it! Wind change the aircraft situation while in flight, isn't? IMHO this is not a bug. But, who I'm to say that. Just what I think about this "bug". Best wishes to all!
Canada_Moose Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 Perhaps the fly by wire of the hornet doesn’t account for yaw induced roll and ED have adjusted the flight model accordingly. In other words it was wrong before the patch? I don’t know enough about the hornet flight control system to comment further but maybe this has something to do with it.
mphelps06 Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 [ATTACH A TRACK] New with update: Roll Trim after pulling Gs Hi all, New behavior after the update today - in instant action missions on caucus map (haven't tried other maps/missions yet), pulling Gs seems to result in a subsequent significant uncommanded roll that must be trimmed out. This is with every instance of pulling. FCS does not show an aileron input, and doesnt show the trim inputs (but I don't remember if this is shown in the air anyway). Anyone else getting this? btw checked my calibration and I'm ok (i.e. axis tune is not showing any weird stuff from my gear, which is the standard thrustmaster warthog stuff) and FCS would show inputs anyway if this were the issue
maxTRX Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 Just tested in Nevada and Caucasus. No problems for me (with or w/o G limiter)
=Panther= Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 Probably the rolling / wind bug that was introduced. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=233505 Twitch Channel [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Virtual Thunderbirds, LLC | Sponsored by Thrustmaster Z390 Aorus Xtreme, i9 9900k, G.SKILL TridentZ Series 32GB, 1080ti 11GB, Obutto R3Volution, Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog, TPR, Cougar MFDs, FSSB R3L, JetSeat, Oculus Rift S, Buddy-Fox A-10C UFC, F/A-18C UFC, Tek Creations F-16 ICP
Naruto Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 F-18 now has slight rolls after banking since latest update Anyone else have this issue. Everytime I bank in the F-18 and level out, it wants to roll ever so slightly in the direction of bank and I have to use trim to fly straight. I never had to use trim before with no weapons load out in free flight mode so not sure if having to use trim is the new normal now after the update. I checked stick calibration and its rock steady with no drift in signal and my controlpanel window shows now stick movement either and it does not behave this way in other planes too.
