Setup a bat file to run everytime you start LockOn, to go and delete the track.ini file stored within LockOn's folders. This way it works whenever you play LockOn.

I basically start LockON:FC with a bat file. Clicking it does a few commands for me, like delete the trackir.ini file and replacing the graphics.cfg file for me each time to a pre-set one for my widescreen display setup, then it starts LockOn. A bunch of things happen in less than 2 seconds.

You didn't understand. It black out in the MIDDLE of the game.

That wasnt initially stated, technically you didnt even say it failed during the game, just in Vista... but anyways.

I would check in device manager for the USB root hubs I think, there should be a power management tab, and uncheck to allow computer to turn off device.

Only other thing I can think of is that you might not be launching the TrackIR software with Admin priviledges, or its a bad install and the driver is screwing up.

When it happens, the TrackIR software is still running. But the TrackIR itself had been turn off.

Aftrer I exit the game I turn off the software.

Then I found I can no longer open the TrackIR software, unless I restart the computer.
