71st_Mastiff Posted March 6, 2019 Posted March 6, 2019 (edited) My inputs and controls no longer are working for any module. When I access the Mig19p controls and try to edit the inputs Sim inputs freez, I have to exit the sim, reboot the sim and all is working again until I access the Mig19p controls again and it stops responding the controls that is. You can find it at Saved GAmes/<DCS version>/Logs "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning." "The three most dangerous things in the world are a programmer with a soldering iron, a hardware type with a program patch and a user with an idea."
71st_Mastiff Posted March 7, 2019 Author Posted March 7, 2019 here ya go but I think I fixed the issue with a DCS Repair. also as I was doing the Start up training and started the first engine My plane rose into the air several feet and then collapsed landing gear on to the parking area. really weird. Go to Mig-19 control settings, I can get one axis set, then everything stops working everywhere. MiG-19; это не хорошо. <edit> Should add that quitting and restarting the game fixes the problem; I can use other mods (there are too many to test), and set one axis in MiG-19, then poof. Time to restart the app again.</edit> Pretty confused by this. Once the controls drop out I was going to check if I could use the controls in the -18 cockpit, but the game hung getting a mission loaded. Let me know if there's more information I can provide, or if I just need a clue by four to find the fix enumerated elsewhere. Edited March 10, 2019 by Raisuli
Raisuli Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 FINALLY got a chance to try "DCS Repair" (Had to look it up since I didn't even know what it was). Coincidentally or not all mods are still disabled, and the problem seems to be resolved. CMD window CD ~\dcsworld\bin DCS_Updater.exe repair
fencible Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 I have this problem too - some of the kneeboard controls have double entries in the controls setting menu. 'DCS_updater repair' does not help with this. Also affected are my Huey and MiG21 modules which also have corrupted control menus, so it may be some sort of scribbler code bug not isolated to the MiG-19.

Do you know how it works? Is it some sort of a general respawn ? does it keeps your settings ? Thx Sent from my SM-G930U using Tapatalk
Basco1 Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 (edited) My guess is it's not the new modules,be it the MiG-19P or the F-14B that's causing the issues......more likely the weekly update, that always causes some sort of issue when uploaded. You would have had to updated your DCS to get your new modules, this in my opinion is where the issue lies. Ran into it with some other module (now I can't remember which hanger queen I decided to fly for no readily apparent reason). DCS_Update is the app that...well, it updates DCS. There are quite a few options, repair being one, and none of my settings have been adversely affected by it.
