Might be a silly question, but who can explain to me why the lantirn in the F14 is green and not black, as in the end of RedKites video?

Is it right to assume that the inflight lantirn is green because thats the only colors the MFDs can display?

Thanks and excuse my ignorance

Correct :) The screens only output green.

Thanks Cobra, for the reply!

Sirus, probably because it wasn’t cockpit footage and the exported video file can be black and white on a normal display

That's a really good video by Redkite, so a big thank you to him.

One little correction (I think), the 'RATES' modes is ground stabilized, however it uses aircraft attitudes and LOS rates to maintain track, so is far more prone to drift than the 'AREA' or 'POINT' modes and as such is more of an intermediate mode for when tracking is lost for what ever reason.
