So far I've only noticed a keybind for flaps up or flaps down. I don't see anything for half, or incremental, or even add or subtracr degrees of flaps. However, you can vary the position of the flaps lever with the mouse, so as to have any flap degree setting you want, not just full, none, or 10, 20, 30, 40 deg of flaps.

So is there a keybind for being able to put the flaps wherever you want?

True! Would be nice to also have an axis to bind to flaps! (The small axis right of Warthog throttles is not used in default config, so...)

Axis, yes, that is the word/concept I was looking for. Thanks!

There is no 10,20.30,40 deg of flaps only fully up and fully down.

Eeeeeerrrr. Wrong.

The normal flap and slat extension is controlled using the FLAP handle on the Throttle Quadrant. The flaps can be set to anywhere between retracted and fully extended where the flaps will extend to 35° and the slats to 17°.

The keybind (axis) control for flaps is realy needed.

It can be set that way in the sim but in reality if you moved the handle past 5° they would extend fully. So it's only full up or full down. I guess the current animation of the handle is a tad misleading.

No, read the NATOPS manual.

Main Flaps controlled by the handle have two positions either up or down.

The only other flaps you have are manoeuvre flaps (10deg) which, if sweep is in auto, operate automatically anyway. Can be overwritten if using manual sweep and controlled by DLC Aft/forward.

I’m still very confused on this. If you move the flap lever (with mouse), you can set the flaps at any setting. Just look at exterior view and you’ll see the flaps are in various settings- not full or none. The manual says:

“The flaps can be set to anywhere between retracted and fully extended where the flaps will extend to 35° and the slats to 17°. The auxiliary flaps, the innermost section, only have two positions, retracted and extended. They will extend fully when the FLAP handle is at more than 5° extension.”

Based on all that it leads me to believe we should have a key binding to manually adjust flap settings. ??? What am I missing? Thanks :)

If you don't have Flap leaver in either Up/Down position it's considered to be in an Emergency mode and can cause problems.

For your usage you want it to have at ether Fully UP or fully Down.

If you want to fine-tune Flaps use the DLC wheel on the stick (When flap handle is in UP position)
