davidp57 Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Neither do I ; trim works fine after AP engage, and after AP Alt Hold. In fact I use this mode right before refueling as a trimming aid. HereThen Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 I can confirm the issue as well but could be related how I mapped things. On default my Hotas autopilot disengage switch was mapped to "Autopilot emergency disconnect paddle" but this also switched off AFCS switches. Didn't look right. So i changed the joystick switch to the "Autopilot off" controls. The autopilot disengages in the game, the Alt hold switch goes to its default position and the autopilot engage switch goes to off, but trim doesn't work. I have to mouseclick the actual autopilot engage switch on the left hand side in the cockpit once more before trim will work again. When I click the button in the cockpit after I used the joystick paddle I hear the switch sound again, so to me it seems the actual joystick binding doesn't work correctly, or I have to map it to something different. Didn't look right. HereThen Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 From the manual: If the Autopilot emergency disengage paddle on the control stick is held down the pitch and roll channels will be set to off. I know, and that works but I don't like the way that operates in the (my) sim. :music_whistling: Didn't look right was a wrong expression on my part. But in my opinion, when mapping the paddle to "Autopilot off" it should turn off, but it doesn't and that is why I can not trim (and maybe the OP to). I have to click the "Autopilot engage" button once more, although in my cockpit it is already in the off position. Barbarossa Posted March 20, 2019 Author Posted March 20, 2019 I can confirm the issue as well but could be related how I mapped things. This was the problem. It's not a bug but a problem with my setting on command AUTOPILOT ON and AUTOPILOT OFF. Solved. My Specs: Win 11 64bit, AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D @ 4,2GHz, 64 GB, Radeon RX7900 XTX, 500GB + 2000GB SSD
