Yurgon Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 is there a keyboard command for moving the TDC for the 65F? As I recall it, with the AGM-65F you need to keep the target designator button depressed in order to be able to slew the seeker. There's also a special option for the Hornet that removes this requirement (intended particularly for owners of the TM Warthog, because the hardware causes problems with this combination, but of course anyone can get rid of this annoying behavior ;) ).
_mu110_ Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 In the options menu, look for the F/A-18C aircraft special options, there should be a setting called Realistic TDC Slew (or something along those lines, not at my computer right now.) Try turning this on or off and see if you get the functionality you’re looking for. EDIT: Simultaneous post Check out my skins and mods on the User Files.

I have to hold the Throttle designator controller button down while moving the arrow keys... just realizing that's what" Throttle designator controller" means= TDC.;...duh [sIGPIC][/url][/sIG][sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Three great things in life are a good landing, a good orgasm and a good bowel movement. TDC in flir/64F not moving, can not lock a ground target, nothing seems to work. i am not a fan of the DCS key assignment management, i think this 20 year old concept needs a revision. i hope Matt sees this comment. What a good settings GUI needs is an easy way from basic settings up to the detailed ones, not starting with pre-filled assignements in the very detailed subsettings lobby. there is plenty of disfunctionalities whereas hotas does not execute commands properly, and some are not even working, including trim, atc/com after airborne, the list goes on. i don't know where we stand here, not being able of moving tdc's or even lock a ground target, this goes beyong my patience.

Welcome to the forum! I would suggest searching the forum for threads that address the specific issues that you are having, or creating new threads in the proper section of the forum, typically the "Bugs/Problems" subforum that you'll find in most sections. Personally, I don't know what these issues are that are bugging you. DCS isn't exactly self-explanatory, but aside from a bit of a clumsy interface, the button assignments are working really well and reliable for me. We're here to help if you have questions.
Harker Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 In addition, the Maverick seeker won't move with the TDC if the missile is slaved to a designated target. If you want manual control of the seeker, undesignate the target with the NWS/Undesignate button on the stick (pinky button) and then you'll be able to normally slew with TDC Depress+TDC Slew, provided that the TDC priority is assigned to the Maverick seeker page. The FLIR should be slewable with just the TDC controls (no TDC Depress is needed, unless you want to designate a target), as long as the TDC priority is assigned to the FLIR page, with the Sensor Control Switch (SCS). You'll see a small diamond to the top right of the display if that display is assigned TDC priority. You need to depress the TDC to designate a ground target.
