Pre-Flight Brief with Jester.

Getting into A-G weapons, and watching others perform the same in YT vids it is very noticeable how many 'visits' to the Jester menu you need to make just to perform basic A-G operations.

 

I was thinking it would be great if you had say a page on your kneeboard with each option and associated check-boxes alongside it or similar to pre-set all the A-G weapon parameters for when you select A-G mode.

 

i.e Select weapon type, pairs/singles, computer or pilot, ripple qty and spacing/timing, arming N/T etc etc. That way you just need to select A-G mode in flight and Jester automatically sets all these pre-arranged parameters for you. I mean you could still go into the Jester menu and change something once set, but it would completely remove the constant select, click,click,exit, select, etc etc.

The options could be selected on the 1 kneeboard page either on the ground or in flight.

 

Just a thought, as in a RL pre-planned weapon sortie you sort all the weapon delivery parameters out before you leave the planning room, as opposed to making it up as you go. Obviously 'reactionary' weapons delivery would still need the option to change stuff on the fly - but we have that already ;)

This is why I wish it were possible to jump to the back seat during MP when you don't have a human RIO. Iceman should be able to stay straight ahead, so I can jump in the back and set up the release settings faster than I could do with the Jester cheese wheel.

I wonder if they plan on eventually having more than the Cold-Start checklist assist from Jester as well? Like Post T/O, Combat, Pre/Post-Landing, Landing, Emergency checklists etc... that can be user directed.
