ФрогФут Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 That's in the game code, you can't do anything. "Я ошеломлён, но думаю об этом другими словами", - некий гражданин Ноет котик, ноет кротик, Ноет в небе самолетик, Ноют клумбы и кусты - Ноют все. Поной и ты.
Airone Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 If you want to modelize the inside of an engine you can do this: http://www.lockon-models.com/index.php?showtopic=69 While, outside after burner cone is another problem, since it seems it is harcoded so I don't know how to solve this. For light, especially nav light I don't know since you hahe one texture with both green and red light!!! Thus, for landing light, in 3dsmax, you can assign a plan where you fit the landinglight.tga texture. Then you can use an argument visibility tool to make it display On/Off with the right argument. Few information on this operation: http://www.lockon-models.com/index.php?showtopic=221 Hope this help?! PS: if anyone has a clue for nav lights? Erwan "Airone", JetESons Team Member AlphaJet Lover

As i understood, you wanted to do 1 engine for 2 engine plane - that IS in the code. zaelu Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Isn't the F35 supose to have 2 engines? Are those cones fixed in position? ...in 'the code' that is. Yeniceri Posted August 17, 2007 Author Posted August 17, 2007 Isn't the F35 supose to have 2 engines? nope.. f-35 is single engined.. unfortunately... Are those cones fixed in position? ...in 'the code' that is. well..i wish...but he says it is..so it is!.. SuperKungFu Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 yea the F-35 has one engine to keep the cost down. They argued a lot about this during the development because the navy wanted a 2 engine aircraft while the air force wanted a 1 engine. In the end, they settled with one. You might be getting it confused with the B version which seems like it has 2 engines but it doesn't. the B version is the one that can hover and do Vertical take off and landings. It has a "fan" on top of the spine of the aircraft, it is still powered by the same main engine though. they just basically have to switch gears. Its all in the documentary: Battle of the X-planes. You should watch it when you get the chance. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
zaelu Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Yup, I thought the fan on top of the B variant has a second engine that drives it... and I think I heard (maybe a rumor) that the ideea was to put 2 engines in tandem (one after the other). Very decieving :D Anyway... the thing is the same... you could put the two cones of the AB super imposed one on top of the other. Or is not possible?
