Multiplayer without Internet connection

Hi everybody,

 

my question is simple.

As I work offshore, I can't get Internet connection for many weeks, but me and a friend of mine would like to dogfight.

So is it possible to set a multiplayer server, as LAN configuration, without any Internet gateway ?

Yes just have one host on your local network and then manually type in the IP address to the host on the other machine.

Actually I'm not so sure, because without internet connection DCS goes into 'offline' mode which at least says multiplayer is generally unavailable.

i would be interested in knowing if this is also possible. Anyone ever throw a DCS LAN Party?

I think it’s not possible as in offline mode multiplayer is not available so it’s not possible to create a server.

In online mode server creation process automatically fill IP address with public host address, and it’s not possible to force Private IP address... that’s why I conclude that it is not possible to create a true LAN server, without a hack. And I will not be the guy who made this.
