Did you break Mulitplayer (Pilot + Rio) ?

since Friday, my teammate and I, tried 4 multiplayers flights on 4 different online servers (PVP) and each of these flight ended abruptly when the RIO (either him, or I) crashed to desktop...

 

is there a known issue ? anything to avoid that ?

 

happens in open beta, with high end machines (not an hardware issue)

Same for us, we stopped playing because constantly losing your RIO (without Jester taking over) having to restart completely is too annoying. Joining back into the RIO seat broke the aircraft, many systems were not functioning at all.

Not as far as we know? This is a new report. Do you get crashdumps, or does DCS just disappear instantly?

Back to desktop directly, in all cases. No DCS message whatsoever.

I did fly a 2+ hour mission yesterday as a RIO and it worked just fine. DCS regularly crashes on me when flying in very hardware demanding missions for longer periods (e.g. on the BlueFlag Persian Gulf server). The crashes there happen much quicker for me when flying the F-14, compared to other aircraft (with the Viggen comming 2nd).

My guess is RAM usage issues, as most people with 32 gb seem to have no issues at all, whilst those with 16 gb or less seem to get frequent crashes, esp. on big mp servers. Bur it's only a general observation.

Well there goes that theory I guess.

 

Just out of curiousity, is your ram running at the specified 4000 mhz? Just mentioning this as sometimes people forget they don't run at advertized speeds out of the box, and that you need to enable the xmp profile in BIOS first.

thing is we never had this issue with any other plane, nor the F-14, before the latest patch, last wednesday

I am having the same issue - always happens when making changes on the TID.
