Radio COM broken in the Huey ?

The radios are not working properly for me :

- no radio menu shows up in flight : you have to be on the ground.

- at an airport, requesting start up, taxi, take-off : I get no answer from the tower (the band is properly selected, and the frequencies properly set. Radios powered on of course). UHV, VHF : same thing.

 

Sometimes, long after requesting taxi, I get an answer from the ATC , after moving the Huey and landing again... Strange.

 

 

Has anybody else issues with the radio coms?

Are the radio selector (the rotation dial below the UHF radio) turned to correct number? The VHF and UHF radios are on 2 and 3, unfortunately I don't have in memory which belong to which.

Concerning the first issue: are you sure you are using the correct key?

The 'general comms' key opens the radio menu but only works on the ground. To use the actual radios you have to assign a key to the radio trigger.

If you hold the mouse over the knob the tooltip tells you

On my end, this only works with UHF freqs and when Easy Communication option is checked on Gameplay Tab.

Ah ! My bad. I assigned my push to talk button to "Switch Dialog" instead of "Pilot's radio trigger RADIO".

VHF/UHF work fine whatever the gameplay tab option at now.
