When I press and release my modifier button on the stick, it is still locked. To get rid of the locked modifier button, I have to press and release it again.

This is only with the Tomcat. All other planes have no locking the modifier.

Strange and bad because I need the modifier like a shift key. So just hold to modify and release to give up modification.

Any thoughts or help?

Having same issue. Modifiers are acting like toggles rather than a press and hold. is this correct?

Me too. It's been like that since the release day. I wish it would work just like on other modules. Pretty useless now like this.

I could work around with binding one modifier keypress on stick-button-press and same key on stick-button-release. But then I always had to switch profiles when switching planes.

Is it too presumptuous to ask for a change of F-14's modifier behavior? Or for a choice in F-14 config menue (or the modifier's keybindig menue) between modifier-toggle and modifier-hold?

I can't believe any of us who are using modifier button(s) like the different solutions of F-14 and all the rest of DCS's planes at the same time.

This could be of interest:

In the RIO's seat the modifiers work perfectly the same as they do with all other planes! A RIO's modifier only shifts contols when held pressed. So should it be in the pilot's seat too.

But this kills my work around with the joystick profile (mod=press plus mod=release)

(Since I use the stable version, I don't know if the last OB has fixed the problem already. @OB-users: has it been fixed yet?)

Can someone tell me if this is fixed (in OB or internally?)

Caus since I am usind the RIOs seat much more/often it is a real pain to have the modifier toggeling controls in the front seat and (perfectly) shifting controls in the back seat.

I still can't belive that I am such an exception with using a modifier button on my stick caus this seems to be a natural thing with DCS. So is there something wrong with my controls or is it for all of us?

Any info about the actual state of this bug?

I've been using a modifier in the Tomcat since launch with no problems. You guys sure you didn't accidentally set it as a toggle instead of the right type of modifier? When you click the modifier button both options are on that screen that pops up. You should be adding your modifier to the left list, not the right one.

You made my day!

Thank you so much. I didn't even know it was possible to configure a modifier as a toggle. I always asked for it in my posts but you are the first one to help me out of my lack of knowledge.

I didn't notice that my pilot's modifier was accidentally set to toggle while the RIO's was correctly set.

Since this thread was tagged with BUG I stopped thinking myself.

Thanks a lot! Now I have a F-14 that I ever wanted.

Dear Heatblur, my problem is resolved. No bug. Good for both of us.
