The CCIP cross should move when the mode is switched between FF/RET, but it doesn't. Very clear track attached, it's easy to see that the cross doesn't move at all when the mode is changed.snakeye_ccip.trk
TheBamse Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 It's been like this since day one and has not changed, CCIP and AUTO-release is always calculated for retarded release in HUD no matter what mode you put the bombs in. It was reported early on and sporadically here and there for about a year, some threads got acknowledged, some not and I've tested about every other OB release since then and results are as they've always was and it is still an issue in 2.5.4.30038. fragal Posted May 7, 2019 Author Posted May 7, 2019 Ok a slightly more picture perfect set of runs 1st run mk 82 standard - hit - for base line. 2nd run mk82y in free fall - long miss - notice how i struggle even to get the ccip pipper up and have to drop the nose a ton to even get it to appear. 3rd run mk82 snake eye in free fall - same behaviour as the 82Y even longer miss. 4th run mk82 standard second base line. 5th run mk82y in retarded - near miss but accurate. 6th run mk82 snake eye in retarded - near miss but accurate. Result the CCIP pipper is not updating solutions between retarded and free fall modes for both the mk82y and snake eye these bombs CCIP solutions should be more like the mk82 when in freefall mode. Then returned to the current solutions when RET is turned on..... :thumbup:server-20190507-203941.trk

You are right, I was thinking about the fall line being off, too many things bouncing around my head, in this case this is known.
