Pizzicato Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 Not sure how feasible this is, but I'd love to see the option to take "full-resolution" screenshots from VR. My monitor is a 3440 x 1440 ultra widescreen. I keep seeing fantastic vistas during VR that I'd love to capture as potential desktops, but they only capture in the reduced, vertical VR resolution. i7-7700K @ 4.9Ghz | 16Gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz | MSI Z270 Gaming M7 | MSI GeForce GTX 1080ti Gaming X | Win 10 Home | Thrustmaster Warthog | MFG Crosswind pedals | Oculus Rift S
toutenglisse Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 You have to record and replay your flight's track with your screen and full graphical options to have a perfect screenshot from your VR flight. With some luck your track will be accurate. Of course it's a too long process for a screenshot… You also can put the mirror in full screen (alt+enter) but VR settings gives degraded visual quality by the way. But you certainly know it and ask ED to find a shortcut to this ? Like you I'm pretty sure it's not feasible
Kula66 Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 Yes, this would be good ... not taken any good screen caps for a couple of years due to VR!
Tailhook Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 (edited) Technically impossible, you have to replay the track in 2D. However, you can locally record a cropped 16:9 video of your flight with OBS/Xsplit but it won't be nearly as spectacular as a 4K 2D image.
