So,

Recently flew a SEAD mission in a hornet, SA-15 shot me down, then shot down 4 HARMS that I shot at it.

So, aside from the SA-15, as a spectator I've randomly seen missles get taken out either by other missiles or gunfire.

My question is which specific systems in DCS can actually do this? I know the SA-15 was designed to do it, but what other systems "can".

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

* SA-15

* SA-10 (Provided the S-300PS SR 64H6E radar is operational.)

* Roland

* Tunguskha via gunfire.

* Naval CIWS systems.

Thought Tunguska can shoot down missiles with it's guns, it's often too late and the Tunguska will still take some damage from the explosion. If you want more success with your HARMs, get closer. Fire from within 20nmi, that the missiles themselves carry much more speed towards the target. It gives the target far less time to react.

Patriot can too, Roland is currently not engaging successfully in OB: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=242191

Its interesting, Ive seen mavs get mowed down with gunfire quite a bit and nowhere near a target.

I'm pretty sure the 4 harms at the sa15 were in the 15-20mi range. But anyhow, I've killed SA-15s with harms before so it was probably bad luck.

Which version of the SA10 do we have in DCS?

And it is one of the best SAM in DCS. I'd say its TOR counterpart from blue side. Its very lethal and deadly.

It's evidently not at shooting down missiles in MP at the moment while the TOR does.

I'm no expert on the Roland, but I was rather surprised to hear it had anti missile capability. Which specific variant do we have in DCS. Its a rather old system, but then again the SA15 is 70/80's vintage too.

I mainly fly on GAW so not flying against blue sams, but I don't think I've even seen it there.

I believe its a Roland 2 (both for launcher and missile).
