flameoutme Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 (edited) So I made some 1 on 1 missions going against various aircraft today with my Hornet. Most fun was going against a "good skill" F-14 from Iran. Guns only. At any rate, with all the dog fighting, I was wondering who should I sue for all the neck strain? Should it be DCS/ED for creating the F/A 18 model that is so wonderful in VR, or should I sue Oculus for creating the Rift S? Both contributed a lot of neck twists. "Loose sight loose the fight" is the axiom I am following. (Just joking of course... I am loving it! Now where is the motrin?) Edited June 5, 2019 by flameoutme
Mango Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Funny, I was just noticing the same recently, since I got the Rift S. With the original Rift I almost didn't feel any weight at all and never any neck strain. Guess we need to be more careful. :)
Harlikwin Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Quick, brew up some ultrahot coffee, and then pour it on your lap! Then you can sue your headset manufacturer! New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1) Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

flameoutme Posted June 5, 2019 Author Posted June 5, 2019 Oh ... I did not mean that... what I meant was I was careening my head around in dog fighting so much. It was my poor attempt at humor. I'm having a blast. And truth be told I think the actual head movement is good for my neck. I am in my 60's. Emphasis on having a blast.
Mango Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Not always easy to convey humor in written text, but I get you. :) Maybe we should start moving from forums to VR chat and really let the sarcasm come out. lol!
