Xilon_x Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Goodmorning DCS world please try to consider bringing in the P-40 warhawk I miss that plane ..Thank you. explain the difference to me Warhawk Tomahawk Kittyhawk. I'm confused by how many names you Americans have used for this plane.
Mars Exulte Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Xilon, first versions were Hawks/Tomahawks and later versions were Warhawks, in American service. Kittyhawks were what the Brits and Soviets called the later version. Де вороги, знайдуться козаки їх перемогти. 5800x3d * 3090 * 64gb * Reverb G2
Kang Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 The predecessor model was the P-36 Hawk. The early model P-40 (up to C or D model) were Tomahawk, the later versions were called Warhawk. There are of course differences between the various variants as well, but the name change conveniently comes along with fairly obvious differences in how the planes look.
DD_Fenrir Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Curtiss Model 75 = P-36 Hawk (USAAF) = Mohawk (RAF) Curtiss Model 81 = P-40B/C (USAAF) = Tomahawk (RAF) Curtiss Model 87 = P-40D/E/F/K/L/M/N/P Warhawk (USAAF) = Kittyhawk (RAF)
