when I pull trigger, only one pod goes active, the other not. Used two blue pods.

Have you tried pressing it twice or multiple times? Always the same result or will the other one get activated too?

 

Edit: just tested it, indeed only one works.

what you need to do in the f14 is obviously load the pods with the ground crew, then enable the master arm, and on the flight stick you can see a small switch/weapon selector, that switch goes up and down but also move in and out/be pushed. So you have to select SW for the first pod and press the trigger, then press the SW switch again and you see the button be pushed into the flight stick, then press the trigger again.
